The 100 Challenge- October
Our final challenge was a personal one- think of 100 people you have known (including relatives), and consider if any of them had an influence on you. Quite a few of our members managed to complete the challenge, with a couple briefly sharing with the group the most influential people in their lives.
Well done to all the members who took part in the various challenges over the past year- they certainly have kept us busy as we celebrated our centenary!

The 100 Challenge- August
As there is no formal meeting in August, we usually have some sort of tea or picnic. This year we held an indoor "bring a plate to share" supper, and combined it with our physical challenge- a circuit of various exercises and score sheets. The idea was to complete 100 repetitions in total, of any of the activities or combination of activities. Everyone managed to make 100, although the hula hoop was particularly problematic for some!
The 100 Challenge- July
This challenge was taken on by our members from Drimpton, who made and sold at least 100 cupcakes during a coffee morning in their village. There was a decorate-a-cupcake table for the children, and money raised from the event also went to Mountjoy School.

The 100 Challenge-June
Our eighth challenge was to donate 100 coins to charity. This was both a collective exercise and an individual one. Many members brought in their penny jars and donated the contents, but we also had a coin chart that had specimens of various denominations placed in the boxes, which was a lovely sight to see. There are still some promised coins to be brought in, but it seems we have raised a good amount to be donated to a local charity, Mountjoy School.
The 100 Challenge- May
Our seventh challenge got the grey cells going, when members had to make 100 words out of "BROADWINDSORWI". Everyone who brought in their list went into a prize draw for a bottle of Prosecco!
The 100 Challenge-April
Our sixth challenge was an easy one- listen to 100 minutes of your favourite music. Many of the members managed to find the time to do so, and we went around the room saying what we'd listened to. We had quite a variety of musical tastes, so it was good fun!

A big thank-you to Rita for writing and running our 110-question quiz at the Christmas party. The Christmas theme certainly tested the brain cells! Don't forget to bring in your items for donation next month.

The 100 Challenge
And off we go! As we enter our 100th year, we have launched our 100 Challenge with 100 nails, painted green in honour of the WI logo. Although we only managed to capture 90 nails in the photos, there were another 10-at least- attached to other members in the room at the November meeting, to take us to our target. If you want to see what we have planned for the rest of our monthly "100 Challenge" activities, see our list below.
